Here’s a glimpse of ThinkorSwim Paper Money with Linux and mt4. After completing the upgrade to Linux Ubuntu 16.04 alternating between Unity and Gnome 3. the mt4 platform for online forex trading works fine, along side equities and options trading software ThinkorSwim paper money I’ve found both very good. With Unity in particular, I’ve noticed a significant increase in stability and speed. On an older Dell, it use to lag and lock when I had many applications open. Now it’s not only faster and more stable, its added features like windows like aero snap which
I couldn’t get to work in the previous versions. Besides Linux Metatrader, Thinkorswim Paper Money runs fine on Ubuntu as well using Wine. I didn’t have to do any modifications on Linux Wine. The default Wine install will open the ThinkorSwim platform provided all the necessary Windows .dll files are included. Ocassionally I’ll use ThinkorSwim paper money because of the outstanding charting it has for other markets like equities and commodities, just to stay in tune with how those markets may affect Forex trading.
I really can’t say which one of the Window managers I like better, Unity or Gnome 3. They’ve both got fantastic innovations that really make the experience satisfying.
